F-4 SILVER SPRING BUSES @ PG PLAZA - Old Super 8 Film preserved onto DVD. Here we see a sample clip of the original Metrobus paint operating on the F-4 run from New Carrollton to Silver Spring. This is back when the fishbowls were used as trippers during AM/PM rush hour service. These clips were filmed back in the final days of the original GM Metrobus era, and this is an ex-WV&M Coach Co bus. It has been about 20 years since I took these films. It seems like only yesterday I could wait every morning and afternoon to see what Northern and Bladensburg Divisions would put on the streets. I knew the end was near for the fishbowls, so I wanted to document some of the rush hour buses back in the day. I filmed quite a bit of the old stuff and thought I would share a bit with the You Tubers out there. NOTE: We see a view of the first 870 model Flxibles soon after being delivered. Enjoy the footage set to some 1920s Jazz.
